Our goal is to develop an outstanding engineering firm with hard work, quality people, and respect for our clients' needs and desires. Our approach is to hire the best and keep them challenged. We aggressively seek interesting and progressive research projects from the United States Government. We then leverage that experience and knowledge to solve problems for our commercial and other government clients. We have used the results of our government work to transfer technology in the areas of database management systems, Internet software, and hand-held computing devices.

Company History

Capraro Technologies, Inc. was formed in July 1993 and incorporated in New York State (USA). We are located at 2118 Beechgrove Place - Utica, NY 13501. We are a member of the Computer Applications and Software Engineering (CASE) center at Syracuse University. CASE is a New York State center whose purpose is to foster the growth of new advanced technology companies within the state.

About Our Founder and President

Dr. Gerard T. Capraro established the company in 1993 with the desire to grow an advanced technology firm in Central New York. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics at Utica College of Syracuse University (SU) in 1966. He was employed by the US Air Force at the Rome Air Development Center from 1966 to 1984. While with the USAF he obtained a masters and Ph.D. in engineering at Syracuse University (SU). He also spent a year at SU as a visiting professor and has been an adjunct faculty member at SU since 1979. He left the USAF in 1984 to pursue his career in the commercial world. He was the co-founder of the Utica office for Kaman Sciences Corporation at 258 Genesee Street in Utica, NY.

Our two major corporate areas are Consulting for Commercial customers and Research & Development for the Government.

We are located at 401 Herkimer Road, Utica, NY.

From Exit 31 of the NYS Thruway (90):

1. From the Exit 31 toll booth follow signs for Genesee St. North.
2. At the first turn signal, take a right onto Auert Ave (Herkimer Road)
3. Stay on this road, CTI is on your left past Price Chopper (next to Utica Post 229)
